Matrix Human Services is thankful to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation for the grant it provided our agency in 2018. The grant of $27,500 was used for the purchase of hearing and vision child screening equipment.
The Spot Vision Screeners and the OAE Hearing Screener has ensured the process of screening children is faster and more effective!
Since October 2018, 1,389 Matrix Early Head Start and Head Start children have been screened. There have been 109 children referred for further hearing and/or vision follow up services as a result of these screenings.
