Now that we have reached the end of the school year and kids are enjoying summer break, we are pleased to share that our Matrix Head Start Summary Report shows that we didn’t just meet our goals, we exceeded them!
MATRIX HEAD START FAMILY GOALS REACHED!
Within Head Start, staff and families form strong, goal-oriented partnerships that contribute to positive and lasting change for families and children. The Matrix Head Start Family Advocates helped parents meet more than 7,000 goals during this school year!
Goal support was provided for housing, mental health, ESL, adult education, job training, substance abuse prevention and treatment, support for child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, child support, health and wellness, emergency services assistance to incarcerated individuals, parenting skills, and asset building.
MATRIX HEAD START HEALTH AND NUTRITION GOALS REACHED!
At the start of this school year 1739 children had health insurance; that number increased to 2000 by the end of the year. At the start of school, 1522 children had a family doctor, at the end of the year this number was increased to 1683.
At Matrix Head Start, our mission is to improve the quality of life for children and families. Having health insurance and a family doctor are important steps to achieving this mission.
