Artist Bio:

Marta Carvajal not only captures the essence and spirit of the individuals she paints with a beautiful eye for anthropological portraits, but her work also depicts her relentless passion for creating art every day. Marta’s compelling work includes a wide range of subject matters; from tribal women and children, wildlife, and iconic figures from Motown, among many others. In addition, Marta continues to create custom portraits for individuals and families, a craft she has mastered for over 30 years.

Artist Statement:

My name is Marta, I am an enthusiastic and creative Artist from Madrid, immigrated to USA 10 years ago. I obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts at Facultad de Bellas Artes, specialized in Graphic Design and Fine Art, by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.  I worked In Spain 15 years as a Fine Artist specialized on Portraits, and as an Art Director in Prestigious Publishing Companies. I have performed solo and collective art shows since I was in 2nd year of Fine ART College. Had my own studio in Downtown Madrid with other artists ever since then, until I came to USA.

Since 2006 I have been interested in Human Anatomy. I have been commissioned Oil portraits since then. My process of work is: Interviewing, taking to my customer as many shoots as I needed with my camera, building their facial anatomy through their emotions.

Art Healer

Since I started painting, 30 years ago, I wanted to share my gift as an artist, harmonizing the spaces with my art. My customers started mentioning to me how good the energy of my painting was for them and their homes.

My studies included, the Chakra system, which is all about how we take in and absorb energy from our surroundings as well as how we experience different energetic relationships of the physical body with color.

We are pure emotions and every image around us can Heal and improve our health.
