ABOUT DR. BENSON

Dr. Paul Benson has maintained his family practice in Berkley since 1980. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and accredited as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He has spent his entire career in private practice.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, an externship at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital in Saginaw, an externship at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic in San Francisco, an internship at Martin Place Hospital in Madison Heights, and a residency at Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights.

MARK BORNSTEIN, D.O., AAHIVS

Dr. Bornstein is a Family Medicine and HIV Specialist. Additionally, he focuses on reproductive medicine and women’s health, including transgender. He fills a void at Be Well by offering contraception, including IUD insertions and removals as well as Nexplanon. He received his medical training at the prestigious New York Mount Sinai Hospital and did his undergraduate studies at University of Michigan.

MARNA TAYLOR, FNP

Marna has earned two Associate degrees from Oakland Community College: one in Applied Science in Nursing and one in Early Childhood Development. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oakland University and her Master of Science in Nursing (FNP) from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Her work background includes Neonatal Nurse services at Hutzel Women’s Hospital and Beaumont Health Systems. Since then, she has concentrated on providing Primary Care Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric NP work for the at-risk population. Marna is AAHIVS credentialed with certifications from the National HIV Curriculum, Buprenorphine Waiver, and Hepatitis Curriculum.

ANDREW ROBERTS, MD

Dr. Roberts completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Chemical Biology at Wayne State University and went on to obtain a Medical Doctorate through the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Roberts completed his residency training in pediatrics at Ascension St. John Children’s Hospital in Detroit. He works as an outpatient pediatrician with special clinical interest in ADHD, depression, and anxiety. He is passionate about educating patients and families in resiliency and mindfulness training and prioritizes engaging local community resources.
