About the artist:

James Stephens is an artist and art conservator living and working in Chicago. In 1982 he received a B.F.A. from the College for Creative Studies. Since then he has exhibited his work in numerous galleries throughout the Midwest. In 2007 he had a mid-career retrospective at Oakland University. His work can be found in many private and public collections including the Detroit Institute of Arts, Wayne State University and the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
